Here’s a powerful reminder of just how awesome the God we are about to corporately worship truly is: the declaration to Israel in Isaiah 42 states, ‘I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness. I will take hold of your hand.’ (verse 6)
How great it is that the Lord’s awesomeness is not just in the big demonstration of mighty works; it is in the way He chooses to reach out to the individual, the lowly, the forgotten and the ordinary with His hand of sacrificial love. Jesus never tired of reaching out to people who had all manner of needs and experiences. His love is indiscriminate and He longs to take hold of our hands and lead us deeper in our understanding of the Father’s love. He will not force you, but He will lead you onwards as you place your life in His!
