Whether you’re just visiting, looking for a local church to call home or are already part of the CCC family, you’re very welcome. This page explains briefly what you can expect at our Sunday meetings. If you have any further questions please feel free to get in touch.
Our usual Sunday start time is 10:30, and you’re always welcome!
On Easter Sunday, we’re starting at 10:00 for an Easter Eggstravaganza – find out more here.
main meeting
We usually begin with worship – our style is contemporary and informal. The songs are designed to help us encounter God, and people may also pray or read from the Bible.
We often include communion (breaking of bread) as we remember Jesus’ sacrifice for us. This is open to all who follow Jesus, and we suggest you read 1 Corinthians 11:17-34 for further guidance. There will usually be a relevant message from the Bible. Someone may also share something of their story of faith and how Jesus has helped them.
CCC Kids
There’s lots of fun for 2s to 11s, as Bible-based sessions are led by our creative team of DBS-checked leaders. Following a time of family worship at 10:30, children are invited to the CCC Kids group. Sessions include age-appropriate snacks, stories, songs, activities and, especially for younger children, lots of play!
If you’d like to know more, just ask the welcome team when you arrive or email us if you’d like more information or to introduce yourselves beforehand.
Babies & pre-schoolers
There’s a Toddler Zone in the main meeting area, with lots of ‘quieter’ toys to help keep little ones engaged. We’re a family church and love children to be involved in our meetings. Families with babies and pre-school children are also welcome to use our well-stocked creche area, with comfy sofas, toys and nappy-change facilities. There’s a live stream feed from the meeting so you don’t miss anything. Children using this space need to be supervised.
After the meeting
We’d love you to stay around and connect with us over coffee. (We also do great hot chocolate!) The meeting usually concludes before 12:00 and the refreshments are free! If you’d like prayer, a team is available. Donations are completely voluntary and a collection is not taken up. If you would like to contribute to the work here, an offering box and contactless donation point is available. Toilets are available off the entrance vestibule and a wheelchair-accessible toilet is through the coffee lounge.
Photos & videos
We may live stream our services and take photos and videos. If you’d prefer not to be included, we try not to film in the coffee lounge area, so you’re welcome to sit there. If you have any concerns on the day, please speak to the photographer or the administrator. More details are in our privacy notice.
Prayer meeting
We meet together at 10:00 to pray before the main meeting starts. Anyone is welcome to come along. There’s a coffee station available until 10:20 to help yourself to a hot drink.
