Stronger together

Church is stronger when it is together. In our world of increasing opportunities to connect, we can still feel that something is missing if we are trying to do it all electronically!

Our togetherness has to be demonstrated in our gathering, where we can laugh together, weep together, pray and minister to one another; where we can read body language, gauge facial expressions and hear voice inflections. Jesus Himself advocated our gathering together, stating that ‘where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them’ (Matthew 18:20). It invokes His very presence! When we are mindful of Jesus during our gathering, I suggest that we are more inclined to love each other more, increase in grace, and feel a greater compulsion to celebrate His presence through worship!

When we neglect the call to gather, or fail to understand the significance, we miss out on so much!
