There’s no better thing than to be able to worship God as church — together we are stronger!
We are created to praise and worship and proclaim that ‘the glory of the Lord is great’ (Psalm 138:5). Our call to fulfil this purpose goes beyond a few hours on a Sunday. The apostle Paul defines ‘spiritual worship’ as ‘offering (our) bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God’ (Romans 12:1).
This is so significant that the powers of darkness will do all that they can to distract and unsettle us. Maybe this is why Psalm 138 opens up with two powerful truths regarding praise and worship. We read, “I will praise you with all of my heart”. In other words Praise is an act of the will and it demands our all!
If God has got your full attention today then you’re in pole-position to worship!
